Crown

The Kingdom of Ardesca is led by a reigning monarch. At this time both His Majesty King Richard and Her Majesty Queen Consort Starr have met the requirements for this station and They reign together as sovereign.

The Crown is responsible for the guidance and direction of the Kingdom in general. Including, but not limited to:

  • Cultivating new fiefs (branches of Ardesca)

  • Engaging in war and commerce within and without the realm

  • Promoting guilds

  • Promoting the arts

  • Creation and maintenance of Kingdom regalia

  • Establishing, directing, and maintaining appropriate offices of Their court

  • Resolution of disputes

  • Historical research

  • Ensuring the Kingdom’s adherence to the Laws of the Empire and the Kingdom

  • Hosting Crown War and a Usurper's War (or Winter War) each year

  • Ensuring that the Citizenry of Ardesca is recognized for their labors and efforts through our Accolade system

TREASURY TEAM

The Office of the Chamberlain Treasury Team is responsible for the maintenance of the royal treasury and the collection of taxation from the domains of the kingdom.

This Office is held by Lady Drahomira of Dragon Falls.

HISTORIAN & CHRONICLER TEAM

The individuals in this office are appointed by the will of the Crown, and are responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of official kingdom records. This includes the accurate reporting of awards administered or revoked by the Crown and production of the Ardesca newsletter.

As an ongoing project to record the living history of Ardesca, the wiki of this site is managed and maintained by this Office.

This Office is held by Royal Historian: Tierany Seriflame, Royal Chronicler: Yaga, and Royal Bard: Róisín.

The Royal Steward is appointed by the will of the Crown, and is responsible for the maintenance and growth of the fiefdoms of the Kingdom.

The page on Branch Lord Resources contains a wealth of information which is managed by the Royal Steward.

Additional Offices may be appointed at the whim of the Crown as needed to help run the Kingdom. These are offices that are not officially defined in our Charter of Ardesca, but serve an important part in the daily operation of the Kingdom.

FIRST CITIZEN

The First Citizen’s duty is to be the voice the At-Large Citizens of Ardesca within the House of Lords.

EMP MEMBERSHIP SECRETARY

Serving the greater Empire rather than solely the Kingdom of Ardesca, the EMP Membership Secretary is responsible for the intake, maintenance, and reporting of the EMP’s membership. The Office is included in the Kingdom’s records due to the fact that this Office is tightly involved with the efficient operation of the Kingdom, within the Empire.

The Office of the EMP Membership Secretary is held by Turalyon Devereux.
