Company of the Iron Phoenix in partnership with The Company of the Gauntlet and the Rose welcome you to Winter Camp in Seattle WA, January 23-26, 2020.
Winter Camp is a 4 – FOUR – day training event for any steel fighter that wishes to improve upon his/her/their skills. Fighters from all clubs, leagues, and organizations are encouraged to attend. Instructors from all over the USA and North America will be teaching classes from their expertise.

The airport is SeaTac, Seattle Tacoma International Airport (SEA). The training will be at a venue space in the south Seattle area. (We are finalizing those details and they will be updated).
Parking
Parking is available onsite, but is limited. You are advised to carpool if possible.
Site Rules
Pack it in, pack it out.
This is a dry venue.
Fires of any kind are prohibited.
Lodging
Lodging is not provided for this multi-day event, so please plan your own lodging in advance. There are many Airbnbs and budget friendly hotels within a wide radius.
Gate & Registration
You must register to attend with a donation. The early bird donation of only $35 USD ends on Oct 31st! So register today! Donation increases to $50 USD on Nov 1st.
This donation covers venue expenses including limited liability insurance, lunches and snacks, and other associated event costs.
As you register, please include “winter camp” and the fighter’s name in the comments section on the payment page.
Donations are non refundable, however it is tax deductible. We encourage teams to ask local supporters to make donations for travel reimbursement for their team. We encourage fighters and teams to fundraise or seek out sponsors for your travel and any other costs you may have associated with attending Winter Camp (registration, food and lodging). All support/sponsor donations can be submitted through the donation link above for a tax deductible receipt, just make sure your sponsor includes a comment: “winter camp”.
Schedule
The schedule for training classes will be announced in the coming months as the specifics get set in stone.
Thursday
Winter Camp will start Thursday evening with a fitness training session at a local crossfit gym and a lecture/discussion with Andrew Somlyo on the importance of coaching.
Friday & Saturday
Friday and Saturday are full days of group and individual training classes, both unarmored and armored.
Friday and Saturday evenings will be opportunities for building friendships, collaboration, and enjoying Seattle nerd bars.
Sunday
Sunday will be a public demo in the list. To participate in Sunday's public demo you must participate in at least one day of the training camp.
